In our dental clinic, ozone is used to disinfect the wound area after surgical procedures (e.g. implantations, bone formation or NICO removal). In this case, no endogenous cells but bacteria, viruses and fungi are killed.
In combination with an intelligent nutrient supply (bone healing protocol according to Dr. Nischwitz) and the use of A-PRF membrane according to Prof. Choukroun, there are no obstacles to bone formation. In most cases even antibiotics can be dispensed with.
What is ozone?
Ozone is a gas that is a natural component of air and consists of three oxygen atoms. Ozone causes no side effects or resistant germs.
How does ozone work?
The successful use of ozone in dentistry has only begun recently.
This is how ozone works:
- It disinfects the wound.
- It fights fungi, bacteria and viruses.
- It is haemostatic.
- It is soothing.
- It has a positive effect on the healing process.
